I have over 20 years experience in the jewellery trade. I trained at Openshaw Technical College for 3 years and studied a City & Guilds coarse in Jewellery Repair and Design.
I then went into the trade for 10 years and learnt the finer points of the job. Finally I set up my own company called Grade ‘A’ Jewellery Repair and Design in 1995.
I concentrated on trade work carrying out repairs and manufacturing for various jewellery shops in the area of Tameside, Manchester, Leeds and Rochdale. In 2002 I opened my workshop in Wood Street and started to carry out repairs and manufactured jewellery to the public, which was very popular, and word spread very quickly. In January 2004 I moved to my purpose built workshop on Market Avenue in Ashton under Lyne.
I still carry out trade work for various jewellery shops in the area and I am expanding my retail side of the business to enable me to make a real impact in Ashton and the surrounding area.
